Cervical screening saves approximately 4,500 lives per year in England.  

Cervical screening prevents up to 3,900 cases of cervical cancer per year in the UK.

Cervical cancer is the 11th most common cancer among women in the UK, and the most common cancer in women under 35.  If you are worried about a specific problem, or otherwise worried about the risks of cancer, then you should talk to your GP.
